A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT RESERVATIONS MANAGER AT CROWNE PLAZA DOCKLANDS
What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the successfully recruited Assistant Reservations Manager will have excellent interpersonal skills and will be a crucial part of the team.
You must be self-motivated and be personable in the way you deal with people, who believe in delivering the best possible standards in guest service. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to handle guest complaints and show you care by being thoughtful in the way you welcome and connect with guests. You will be pro-actively required to maximise conversion of all enquiries to the hotel.
The Assistant Reservations Manager is responsible for supporting the Reservations Manager in overseeing the reservations department, ensuring efficient booking processes, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves support managing a team of reservations agents, handling guest inquiries and bookings, and working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Your key areas responsibility will include:
- Operational Support: Assist the Reservations Manager in the day-to-day management of the reservations department, ensuring all processes are functioning correctly.
- Manage and process reservations received through various channels (phone, email, online booking systems)
- Staff Training: Assist in training new reservations staff, ensuring they understand company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Communicate and coordinate all group activities with front office and other relevant departments.
- Proactive upselling spirit to support the increase of Crowne Plaza Docklands revenue
- Knowledge of Opera is preferable
